OLYMPUS achieved a significant distinction at the World Championship Cheese Contest, the premier international cheese competition, in March 2026. This achievement not only reflects the company’s commitment to excellence but also highlights the growing global presence and reputation of Greek food products.
OLYMPUS Feta Cheese P.D.O. was honored with two gold medals at the internationally renowned World Championship Cheese Contest 2026, reaffirming the brand’s superior quality and its strong competitiveness in international markets.
Specifically, the following distinctions were achieved:
• OLYMPUS Feta Cheese P.D.O.
• OLYMPUS Barrel-Aged Feta Cheese P.D.O.
The competition, organized by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association since 1957, is the largest and most rigorous evaluation of dairy products worldwide. This year’s event, held in Madison, Wisconsin, featured 3,375 entries from 25 countries and 34 U.S. states, covering 148 categories.
The products are evaluated by an international panel of expert judges, who apply strict criteria to assess each entry’s taste, texture, structure, appearance, and overall presentation.
This double distinction for OLYMPUS carries even greater significance given the competition from leading producers worldwide, with this year’s event highlighting the exceptionally high level of craftsmanship and quality in the global cheese-making industry.
